They do have cooldowns, quite long ones actually and I've never seen an enemy that hits you more than once with a knockdown arrow (for example). Oh and also the enemy doesn't cheat, you're just not good enough.
Outstanding.Īt least now you have to work out through the armor to CC them, which makes for so, SO much more sense gameplay-wise AND it forces you to focus different enemies, not hit them all with the same spell. Yes, the combat was so incredible in the first game. And the serious unbalance in the game/combat. Not to mention the constant bombardment of enemies popping out from the air. If you fail to CC them the first turn, on harder difficulties, you're screwed and probably want to load your save.
Yes, the AMAZING system in DOS 1 was hit them with AoE spells that CC them, then hit them with more CC again.
